Typeframe
A local-first typing experience with deep analytics
Typeframe opens directly into typing, calculates results in the browser and preserves useful history locally. Its optional backend adds compact cloud sync, account security and bounded AI services without putting any of that work on the typing hot path.
Context
The problem space.
Typing tools should feel immediate while still making progress understandable. Typeframe keeps the core typing experience local and responsive, then progressively reveals deeper analytics.
Confirmed work
What the evidence supports.
- An isolated browser typing engine calculates deterministic session metrics without network or AI work on each keystroke.
- Guest history, preferences and bounded event detail persist locally with IndexedDB and remain useful without sign-in.
- A modular FastAPI and PostgreSQL layer supports compact completed-session sync, account security and derived analytics.
- Optional asynchronous AI services are separated from core typing, results and analytics so they can fail independently.
Proposed / planned
The direction, not a completion claim.
- Live Google OAuth, cloud deployment, DNS and production AI inference require the relevant accounts, credentials and controlled verification.
Evidence note
The repository documents local release-gate coverage. External providers and production deployment are intentionally not represented as verified.
